alice paul. imprisoned and beaten for advocating women's right to vote. she went on a hunger strike while in prison and they tied her hands to her chair and shoved a tube down her throat. they then proceeded to shove liquids down her throat until she vomited. she was tortured for weeks until word leaked to the press. for believing that women should have the right to vote. i thank all the women out there that fight and refuse to settle for less that what we all deserve as humans. and i thank all the men out there that support the strong women in their lives as their friends, lovers, partners, sisters, mothers and daughters or whatever. lets love and worship and respect the heroes we have around us.
today, along with alice paul, my hero is my mother, kendra. its her birthday and she has just turned a lovely 54. love you mumz. you are the bestest role model a daughter could have.
